LISA Armstrong has found her marriage to Ant McPartlin in the spotlight for much of the past 12 months.
Unfortunately, The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed the strain proved too much for the couple, who are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. Here’s the lowdown on Lisa and her relationship with the much-loved TV host.
Who is Lisa Armstrong? What is her background?
Lisa Armstrong, 41, was born October 26, 1976 in Oxford.
She started her career as a dancer but in 1994 joined the band Deuce.
Their debut single Call It Love was released in January 1994 and entered the UK charts at number 21, working its way up to peak at number 11.
The band went on to release two more singles and an album before splitting up in 1997.
When did Lisa Armstrong meet Ant McPartlin? How long have they been married?
The couple met at a pop concert at Newcastle City Hall in 1994, when she was performing with Deuce and he was performing with his best pal Declan Donnelly in their band PJ & Duncan.
After a lengthy romance Ant proposed to her whilst on holiday in Dubai on April 26, 2005.
They married on July 22, 2006 in Taplow, Buckinghamshire.
Are the couple getting divorced?
On January 13, The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed that Ant and Lisa were divorcing after 11 years of marriage.
In a statement, Ant’s spokesman said: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.”
The couple’s marriage had been under pressure following his addiction issues, and while Lisa has remained silent on any marital woes, she retweeted a fan montage video showing some of the couple’s best moments.
And it emerged that after the divorce Lisa could be entitled to half of the TV presenter’s estimated £62 million fortune.
The Sun revealed it was Ant’s decision to end the marriage following a series of emotional face to face meetings with Lisa.
Lisa also “liked” a number of back-biting tweets about the Ant, including one which claimed she “made” him who he is.
She lashed out after she began to feel sidelined by the couple’s showbiz pals — including 42-year-old Ant’s co-presenter Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali.
Lisa’s “likes” come after rumours began to swirl of romance between Ant and fellow TV star Scarlett Moffatt, 27.
She quietly favourited a tweet suggesting Ant was “hiding something or someone”.
Other messages from well-wishers she agreed with included: “Your unconditional love and support made A who he is” and: “The grass isn’t greener like they believe.”
A pal said: “Lisa has always kept a dignified silence, but the cracks are now starting to show.
“She’s been using social media very subtly to reveal how she really feels — and the truth is beginning to creep out.
“She had been determined to carry on as normal but now feels totally cut out from her friendship circle.
“They’ve shared the same friends for years but it’s become obvious who they’re all siding with — especially Dec and his wife.”
What does Lisa Armstrong do for a career now?
After ditching the pop career, Lisa now makes a living as a make-up expert.
Lisa is now head of make-up and hair for Strictly Come Dancing.
On 30th January 2018, Lisa returned to work on Britain’s Got Talent – and narrowly avoided an encounter with her ex.
She was seen heading onto the show’s set just minutes after Ant, 42, arrived, and debuted a new pink hair style as she arrived at the show’s set in Blackpool, where the auditions are being filmed.
It marks the first time she’s been spotted working on the show, which is presented by her estranged husband, since they confirmed their split.

Why did Lisa’s husband Ant go to rehab?
Ant spent two months in rehab after enduring a two-year addiction to strong painkillers, which almost killed him.
The emotional star said: “I was at the point where anything – prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs – I would take.
“And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me, ‘You could have killed yourself.’ ”
He has now praised the “brilliant” NHS doctor who saved him from the painkiller addiction in an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Bizarre Column.
The star’s descent into dangerous prescription drugs came after he damaged his knee in 2014, then had a botched operation on it the following year.
After Ant’s battle with addiction was revealed, Lisa took to Twitter to thank fans for their support: “Completely overwhelmed by all your love and support, it means so much.
“I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs. We just need him better.”
