After initially refusing to lend her sister the £1,000 she needed to get the debt collectors off her back, she arrived in Walford to make amends.

As the sisters bickered, they finally ended up laughing at each other, just as the bailiffs arrived to empty Karen’s flat.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of Hannah’s character and arrival on the show, taking to Twitter in their droves to comment.

One wrote: “Look at Hannah from S Club 7 making an appearance in #eastenders” while another added: “#EastEnders Ain’t no party like an S Club party…”

Another added: “Maybe Kandice should throw a party for them to raise money? Because I hear that there ain’t no party like a S Club party”.

However one viewer tweeted: “Struggling to take #EastEnders seriously with Hannah from s club in it!”
